What a great month we have had. The first part of July we had a family reunion at Island Park, ID. We had a great time spending time with family and the kids had so much fun playing with their cousins.
Our campground was right by a river so we spent many hours floating, splashing, fishing and of coarse finding critters. Night time we sat around the campfire, relaxing from the day and roasting marshmallows.
The kids were squirting everyone with their squirt guns, which felt nice to be cooled off, but some how I ended up getting a bucket full of water on me. Thanks Chelsie.
We went up to West Yellowstone on the 4th of July. One day we went to Big Springs to feed the giant fish, the water there is so crystal clear. Coming down from Big Springs we found a boat launch a great area to take all the rafts and other floating device that we could find. The plan was to float the river, which would take about "30 min." 3 hours later we were still on the river.
I don't know about everyone else, but we had a blast!
After the Family Reunion I went to UT for 2 1/2 weeks. It was nice to spend time with my grandma who was having surgery.
We went to SLC on the Front Runner and toured the town. The next weekend we went to the Farmers Market in Ogden, the girls feel in love with all the different horses around town. The rest of the time in UT, we swam every moment we could. OH HOW MUCH WE MISS THE POOL!
The best part of the trip is my MOM took my car up to the hospital to pick up my grandma. When my Mom backed out of the stall she turned the wheel and WHACK she hit the BIG YELLOW CEMENT POLE. The driver side was all dented and the light was ripped right out. $2,200 worth of damage. Thank goodness for insurance!!!
My plan was to stay 2 weeks, but the 1/2 came into play when my car had to be fixed.
