Spring Break 2009

Febuary 27- March 08

The girls and I drove around town for two day straight looking in every store and finally found bedspreads for Hailee and Kennedy's room. The girls love their "new" room and they only come out when it's necessary. They even keep their room clean and make their bed every morning. If I would have known about this I would have got new bedspreads along time ago.
P.S. We will see how long it will last

Wednesday we finally got out of the house from "Spring Cleaning" and went to the Zoo. The kids always LOVE going to the Zoo seeing all the animals and playing on the play ground equipment. The Zoo animals were pretty active. The Tiger was taking a nap the first time around and then we heard the yawning and moaning, so the kids ran back over to watch the Tiger walk around. Red Pandas are always fun to watch they are so dang cute. One Panda was standing on the branch looking down at us, for a minute we were wondering if it was going to jump on us, but it turned the other way and walked around on the tree. The best part was Bruno the Grizzly Bear. Bruno was sitting in a big tractor tire playing with a log and a branch. He was making us laugh!
Admissions- Free, thanks to our season pass

Friday was the big event for our Spring Break that Hailee, Taylor and Kennedy have been waiting for.... High School Musical On Ice Tour. The girls have been getting prepared for listening to the Cd's, playing the High School Musical Wii game and of course watching all 3 movies. I can honestly say, I know every song by heart.
We had a blast at the show..... Steve teases the girls about Gabriella and Troy kissing in the movie so the girls were pretty nervous if they would at the show. Yes, they kissed and all the girls got red in the face and Kennedy turned to her Dad and said "close your eyes they are going to kiss."
It's was a fun week staying up late, sleeping in and spending time with the girls!

Well how fun...it sounds like.....our spring break went fast as well...we rented highschool musical but didn't go to the ice show...there is only one girl who would really want to go so maybe another event. Our spring break was spent walking around as well...but mostly taking a break of not getting ready for the day...now that was nice for me...and for the girls...they just played and had fun.

What a fun spring break! I love time off from school with the kids to do stuff like that. It sounds like you really took advantage. Cute St. Patrick's Day background too.
